What Is Sin — And Why Your Understanding May Be Wrong

Today what we call sin is not what we think it is. What I am about to share with you is going to sound weird, but it is the scriptural truth, everything shared here is backed up by scripture(s).
Before you become prejudicial, kindly give me time to explain myself.
I would like to start by showing you a scripture that will blow your mind.

“Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.” (James 4:17 NLT)
“All wicked actions are sin, but not every sin leads to death.” (1 John 5:17NLT)

Everything you do in unbelief is sin, breaking speed limit is sin, complaining is sin, cheating is sin, even thinking bad about someone is sin…
Many of us categorize sin with only killing, adultery and stealing, yet it is more than that. Literally, everyone is sinning.
Thank Jesus Christ who died for all our sins before we even committed them.
You may wonder how Jesus can die for the sins that are not yet committed. Well, you better believe it.

➡️ Next: Let’s look at how God responded to sin in real Bible stories. You’ll be amazed.
